The North Carolina Coaches Association and the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association have announced the team rosters for the 2024 Carolinas Classic All-Star Basketball Games, this year celebrating its 25th anniversary. House of Raeford Farms FLOCK, the non-profit arm of House of Raeford Farms, is once again sponsoring the event.
On March 23, the top public high school senior boys and girls from North Carolina and South Carolina will face off during the Carolinas Classic All-Star Basketball Games at John T. Hoggard High School in Wilmington.
This year’s roster of players features McDonald’s All-American Isaiah Evans of the NC boys’ squad, ranked #8 nationally in his class by ESPN, a product of North Mecklenburg High, and headed to Duke University. He is joined by several boys’ and girls’ McDonald’s nominees from both states. The NC boys will also highlight the top scorer in the state, Paul McNeil, Jr. of Richmond County, who recently set a new NC single-game scoring record with 71 points.
The SC boys’ team features Cam Scott of Lexington High, ranked in the top 20 in his class nationally by ESPN and committed to the University of Texas. The NC girls’ team includes the #3 ranked player in the state in Taylor Barner of Panther Creek High in Cary. In addition to Duke and Texas, player college commitments include NC State and Wake Forest in the ACC, Tennessee in the SEC, and other nationally prominent schools like Notre Dame and the University of Memphis.
“We are honored to have the best high school basketball student-athletes from our states come to Wilmington. They will not only compete at a high level in their respective games, but will be involved in outreach activities that touch youth and adults in the community,” said Scott Early and Phil Weaver, executive directors of the South Carolina and North Carolina Coaches’ Associations, respectively.
When the student-athletes are not practicing or playing, they will be participating in community service events, including visits to two New Hanover County elementary schools to interact with the kids and light up their day. The players and coaches will also provide a basketball clinic for special needs children and adults as part of FLOCK’s partnership with Access of Wilmington, a nonprofit organization eliminating barriers to health and wellness through sports, recreation and fitness for those in the community living with disabilities.
Tickets to the games are available now for purchase online and are $10 for adults and $5 for children and students. Tipoff for the Girls’ game will be 3:00 pm followed by the Boys’ game. Proceeds from the event will benefit Access of Wilmington.

The North Carolina Coaches Association, established in 1948, exists to promote and improve athletics in North Carolina public schools and to foster high standards of ethics and sportsmanship. Likewise, the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association was founded in 1946 with a mission to promote, protect, and teach the student athletes of South Carolina through effective leadership and professional development of coaches.
